Black-Eyed Susans
The garden is always such an inspiration and I'm having fun with my phone camera. I love how close I can get for those great macro shots. And then it's fun with filters. The flowers become 'other'. This photo emphasizes the negative shapes and the architectural elements of the petals.

In the Garden
I've been having fun with my new phone - it's got a better camera than my camera and I'm loving the results. Having it with me all the time helps when the 'interesting' moments need to be captured. I'm becoming a better photographer just because I'm taking so many pictures - the trouble is the thousands of photos I can't bring myself to edit down!
I also love playing with the filters - turning the photos into something else. Some of these will find their way into paintings - who knows when a random texture or shape will assert itself and demand to be included in other projects.
